Welcome (I guess ...)

Well, we'll see if I use this thing at all ... I post news everywhere on my site at www.monroeworld.com and that's really what this "blog" thing is about. Another internet fad created by AOL users.

You know what really pisses me off? When a term is 'invented' that replaces something that already exists - and everyone jumps on the new term and pretends its something significant.

Take the term "LOGON". The concept of "logging in" or "logging on" means to provide credentials for entry into a system (or web site) and to be authenticated. Now, the term "log on" is used for ANY act of web browsing. "Log on to our website to see our specials ..." or "get better prices by logging on to our website at ....".

While we're at it ... let's talk about more ghey shit that has happened to the internet in the last year. Someone decided that saying the letter "W" was too much work ... so now its being called "dub". I'm sorry, but that's the second most faggot thing I've ever heard. I'm going to write FAG on your locker now. Oh, I said SECOND because "slash" isn't a good enough word now either ... we had to replace it with "WHACK". Does ANYONE realize they sound like an internet newbie fag when they say "http: WHACK WHACK DUB DUB DUB"? You might as well brand your forehead with a burning hot AOL 9 disc (Optimized).
